Notes for this activity:Are you looking for another outdoor season of fun and learning? Looking to play, learn and improve your tennis game this summer? Tennis program director bill mcgarry & is staff are back serving shelby township. Bill is a certified tennis professional through the uspta, p1 rating and has 25 years of teaching experience. He played his college tennis at the university of michigan and has 5 years of tour experience. He also teaches at wimbledon racquet club. He has taught many players who have received midwest and national rankings and have received college scholarships & he currently directs the summer programs for rochester, macomb and shelby parks and recreation. All make-ups must be pre-scheduled with bill. Please call him at 586-855-8990 with questions regarding locations and make-ups. No classes july 5 or september 1.

ages 8-15. All basic strokes will be taught with emphasis on correct grips and form to produce the muscle memory required to progress rapidly. Drop feeds and rallying will begin at this level as well as competitive contests and games. Please bring racquet and water to class. We have added new this year, one week morning camps for beginner and adv. Beginner players.


REFUND POLICY: All programs are subject to a minimum/maximum enrollment. The Department of Parks, Recreation, & Maintenance reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule any activity due to lack of enrollment or circumstances beyond its control. A full refund will be issued for cancelled classes. If a student wishes to drop from a class, he/she may request a refund through the FIRST CLASS ONLY, a $7.00 processing fee will be deducted from the refund. If you paid by cash or check, processing takes 3-4 weeks and a check will be mailed by the Treasurer's Office to the address listed above. If you paid by Visa or MasterCard your account will be credited. No partial refunds will be issued. A refund for any 1 (one) day event must be requested at least 7 business days prior to scheduled date, and a $7 processing fee will be deducted.
