    232406 - Exotic Animal Day

Our first animal program will begin at 11:30am with smaller animals that fit our smaller audience members: small lizards, snakes, and other friendly critters. We will also have a petting
area for kids that will include hands-on experiences with rabbits, chickens, and other fluffy/fuzzy animals (just in case our scaly, slimy, or hairy friends aren’t quite your speed). At 1:00pm
we will have a program discussing the pet trade and how it is impacting society and native populations. And at 2:00pm we will be offering our biggest, baddest, coolest show yet involving
multiple species of large reptiles that will guarantee to put a big “alligator grin” on your and your friends’ faces. Throughout the day we will have a “meet n’ greet” area where
you can meet some crazy new friends, ask all types of questions, and learn some of the do’s and don’ts for exotic pet ownership and care. Make sure you stop to see our friends from Pets and
Things: Reptile Emporium, who will be there with plenty of their favorite animal-ambassador friends and a lot more expertise about bringing reptiles into your home. Noted Naturalist and
Educator Randy Baker from Naturalist Endeavors will be our guest presenter for this program and will be bringing in some of his animals, including a few you definitely wouldn’t regularly
see at our Nature Center! Cameras are always welcome, but please refrain from flash photography when requested. Seating is limited so make sure you reserve your seat today!
